Takiyah "Taki" Harris is DEAFinitely, Inc.’s Lead American Sign Language (ASL) Teacher, providing instruction to hearing youth involved in the Performance Crew, students in the community, and local businesses and organizations. Taki also leads the Deaf Youth Council, providing guidance and leadership to Deaf youth as they express song lyrics in ASL and explore a variety of world topics, some of which tat are emphasized in DEAFinitely performances.

Taki brings a lifetime of experience as a Deaf African-American woman. She is a Para-professional at The Learning Center/Walden School for the Deaf in Framingham, MA, where she supports a diversity of youth who are Deaf, Deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing with multiple disabilities academically, socially and emotionally. Taki is intricately involved in the Boston Deaf community, as well as part of the National Deaf People of Color association. Taki is a trained and accomplished Haptic artist and has displayed her work at the Museum of Fine Arts, where she also provides ASL tours.
