Felicia McGinnis

Felicia McGinnis  is an Assistant Dance Coach with DEAFinitely, Inc.  She works at Horace Mann School for the Deaf as a Paraprofessional.  Felicia is Deaf and brings years of dance experience in styles of Hip Hop, Urban dance and Jazz.  She was actively involved in the Regis College Dance Company from 2016-2019 and was a choreographer for the company. In 2018, Felicia hosted a dance workshop at

the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) under the guidance of Fred Beam, a hip hop instructor and outreach coordinator at NTID.  Felicia is always studying ways to make music and dance more accessible for the Deaf community. As a Deaf dancer, she has personally experienced a majority of classes in the arts being auditorily driven and not universally accessible. Felicia believes there is undiscovered potential in the Deaf community around development of musical, dance and performing arts. The contribution they could make to the dance world would be immense if we can create a setting that promotes communication equity and allows for learning and growth.
