DEAFinitely, Inc., is a non- profit organization that serves

Deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-blind, deaf-disabled and hearing youth

representing multi-lingual, cultural, racial, and socio-economic diversity. 

 

DEAFinitely youth learn to communicate and work together as a team, expressing positive messages through dance and ASL.

Connections developed between youth transcend through the

performing arts, mobilizing diverse communities of all ages and

backgrounds to bridge cultures, languages and differences.  

 

Through Deaf-to-Deaf mentoring, youth engage in regular ASL-rich outlets to deepen connections and develop fundamental skills to interact in the world.

Savannah Dahan

performs for DEAFinitely's Spring Dance Party!

Performance artist Savannah Dahan is a native American Sign Language signer who was born Deaf to Deaf parents. She started performing to music at a very early age, which became a family activity. When Savannah was 8 years old, her parents posted a video of her performing to Carrie Underwood’s “The Champion.” This video immediately went viral, amassing over 10 million views within a week. 

 

Savannah, now 10, uses her social media platform to educate the community about various topics, including accessibility especially at live entertainment venues, marine environment awareness, and American Sign Language/Deaf culture.

5 Things about Kourtney Dolliole, who was the Deaf Youth Council Guest in April 2022 


1.  Kourtney is the first deaf generation in a hearing family. 


2. Kourtney was born in New Orleans, LA. In 2003 and moved to Texas in 2005 because of Hurricane Katrina. 


3.  She loves playing sports, dancing, acting, and making videos. 


4.  She grew up in mainstream school, then transferred to Texas School for the Deaf for four years in high school. 


5.  She is a USA Deaflympian for track and field and competed in the 24th Deaflympics in Caxias Do Sul, Brazil. She runs sprint and relays and received one silver and one bronze for 4x100m and 4x400m relays!!
