Led by deaf and hard of hearing youth, DEAFinitely is shining a light on the topic of mental health in the deaf community. During 2021, members of DEAFinitely's Deaf Youth Council program identified mental health as a priority topic for discussion and exploration. We are responding by creating a space for our community to come together and share our stories.
In October 2022, DEAFinitely, Inc. will partner with This is My Brave to produce a Deaf-centered show about mental health experiences. HEART TRUTH will invite deaf and hard of hearing storytellers to tell their personal stories of challenge and recovery through creative expression. Together, we can break down stigma and build hope.
